Dipping my toe in the water...

  • Hi everyone!
    My name is Kari, I'm 28 and a SAHM to two beautiful girls and wife to my best friend and the love of my life. <3

    My youngest daughter is 6 months old, and the weight has not come off this time. I need to lose 20 lbs to get back to pre-pregnancy weight, but I need to lose about 40 lbs, really. That's a decent amount of weight on my 5' tall frame!

    I've decided, and my husband is holding me to it, that I need to lose at least the 20 lbs before we ttc #3. I figure that if I don't get it off before becoming pregnant again, then I'm hooped- it will be harder than ever to get it off afterwards.

    My problem is motivation- or lack thereof. And I do have some great motivation, a reason for losing the weight- but I'm just so darn lazy!

    I need to exercise regularly, not only so that I can lose some weight, but to be healthier and fit and be able to enjoy chasing my girls around!

    I also need to start a diet or eating plan. I'm the type who doesn't want one or two cookies, I want 12. I've never been on a diet before, but I think I'll be able to find some great info from this board.

    So for now, I'm just dipping my toe in the water. One day soon, I'll be jumping in!
