thanks for the motivation guys!!!!

a while back i posted about a guy im dating who lives in the same city. he was out of town for a month and i lost 13 pounds during that month. he hasnt said a word about it.

well, another guy i date lives in seattle. he's been here for 2 weeks and the first thing he commented on how small i looked compared to the last time we saw each other. and then he threatened to dump me if i got any smaller, lol!

since he's been here, i've worked out 2 twice and have eaten at 5 star restaurants (read- BUTTER) no less than 4 days per week. I've gained 2 pounds and i have zero energy, yet we are always on the go.

im so ready for him to take his behind home!!!! anywho, i am amused by the ongoing contradictions. one guys hasnt acknowledged the weight i lost, another did and wants me plumper. i'm still committed to working out, but i guess this is proof that you cant please all of the people all of the time!!!!

Hi group.
WendeeLou: Great pictures. Hiking is such an excellent way to get exercise in.

fresno: glad the cold is gone, it's such a drain. I agree about the thighs. My waist is already my thinnest part, and of course that's where I lose first. I have some serious cellulite going on, so no matter what I lose, they may not be pretty. Oh, well.

good luck getting motivated HiltonHead. Hopefully as it gets closer, that motivation will come.

Turbo: well first I had to translate 35 C. but yikes!! stay in the pool.

FF: I don't think I've ever dated anyone who would notice weight loss unless it hit him over the head!

Sorry to those I missed. Still getting used to the forums.

I'm really loving all the summer fruits and veggies. So much easier to snack on healthy foods. Also easier to get out and exercise now that the sun is finally out.

hope everyone's having a good week. Almost Friday, yay!

Many thanks

Hi all!!!

I am new here.... and today is Day 1 of my workout/diet regimen.... so, needless to say, I am super excited!!

I have read a lot of the posts from this thread and I must say, what an amazing group of people!! I really look forward to reading more and getting to know you all!

I am not sure of my goals just yet.... I am thinking about 18-20 pounds, but I am more concerned with feeling more comfortable in clothes and in my own skin... and enjoying shopping once again ;)

I am beginning with the TurboJam 10-day jumpstart and then I may stick with TurboJam for a bit or move on to TurboFire.... anyone have any thoughts on these programs?

My biggest struggle is food... I am not a good dieter... I am always on the go and I find myself making bad decisions based on convenience. So my plan is to have a weekly strategy and preparation of meals and snacks to hold myself more accountable.

Thanks again for having such an awesome thread and I will see you all around!!
~Stephanie~

Welcome, SweetSteph!

I have never tried Turbojam... but preparing meals sand snacks in advance is working really nice with me :)

ann71 06-10-2011 01:57 PM

Hi Stephanie,
I agree, planning ahead is key. Sometimes I map out a day and it leaves me 300 calories for dinner, and then I know something needs to get rearranged! I need a real dinner!

Welcome and good luck.

I think too masiv and risky, we recommend a gradual weight loss to minimize the risk in

fresno26 06-10-2011 05:11 PM

Can I start by saying that I LOVE how this thread is still going strong AND still has new people joining!? :carrot:

How's everyone doing today?

I am still kind of off-plan for the time being. Hope to get back into the swing of things soon. If it's any consolation, I am still getting compliments daily about how much weight I've lost. I know I've probably gained back 5-10 pounds though. I wish I would have had more willpower this past month.

Hope everyone has a FANTASTIC weekend! =)

themilesawaygirl 06-11-2011 08:22 AM

Hi guys, I've been out of the loop lately, been really busy at work. Hope it's going to be calmer next week. I've been really off on my food lately too, bingeing and having no self control. Maybe that's linked to being busy at work! I'm really going to try and get control back, making better choices when I go out to restaurants and stopping myself from ordering pizza.

Hope you all have a great weekend! And welcome to the new joiners :)

fresno26 06-13-2011 11:11 AM

Hey friends!

Happy Monday!

I found myself at a place with a scale this weekend, and I'm happy (?) to report that I've only gained back about four pounds this entire time I've been off plan. I was really scared that I'd be back at 170, but it looks like I've settled in at 165. So hopefully I'll get going again soon on the weight loss. I did do about a three-mile walk last night. Yay! :) Finally I'm getting off my buns, lol

How is everyone doing?

TurboMammoth 06-13-2011 12:03 PM

fresno26 : It's always awesome to jump on the scale avec being off track and finding out that you did not mess that bad with the weight. Good for you!! :)

Happy monday everyone! Here it's cold and cloudy and I want a hot chocolat. But I know I can't. *sigh*

Hope you're all having a good day :)

Hi all I just found this site :) I just started the Ideal Protein program. I am on the second week. So far I have lost 5lbs but I need to lose about 40 more. I live in Georgia and buddies are always very helpful.

Thanks Turbo! :)

Somehow, I think I feel my lack of motivation coming to an end. Finally, my self-control is coming back!

What exercise is everyone doing this week?

ann71 06-13-2011 02:21 PM

fresno,
congrats on getting your mojo back. :)

I'm taking Wednesday off from work, and I'm hoping to do a 10 or so mile bike ride, on the way to working up to 25-30 mile rides this summer.

TurboMammoth 06-13-2011 04:10 PM

swimming and I have to get back to running one of these days... I subscribe to 2 races, one in july and one in october, and I haven't been training much since the subscription LOL

fresno26 06-14-2011 11:21 AM

Thanks Ann!! I also love bike riding! My tires are flat at the moment - I need to remedy that. :D We're moving to a neighborhood with bike lanes. Can you believe it? I'm super excited! There are very few bike lanes in the entire city!

Turbo, that's awesome! I can't seem to run far distances no matter how much weight I lose. Bummer, right? lol. Does it get easier? Maybe I have something wrong with my lungs or something? A 30-lb loss has made no difference. I can usually only go about 1/5 mile at a time.
