Default New Fat Chick

I am so blessed to come across this website! I have been so depressed about my wight now at 225 lbs. I was always skinny until later in life when I had kids and never got the weight off. I try to diet without any results. I try to eat healthy, started walking and nothing happens. My sisters are all skinny and eat all they want. Can't figure out what is wrong with me. Docters just shrug it off like I am not that overweight. I need someone to talk to or someone to help me figure out what I can do to feel better. Is there any hope for me? I would feel some much better about myself if I even got down to 180 lbs! Any Advice?

Welcome to the forum! I have been overweight most of my life (ok, all my life) and have tried this diet and that one, I have lost weight and but it right back on. This time I am making a lifestyle change, I am eating better and exercising on a regular basis. I am concentrating on making changes that I can carry foward after my weight loss to maintain it.
I am counting calories and exercising three to four times a week. I know it will take time for the weight to come off but as long as it comes off, that is the important thing.
Find a healthy way of eating and exercising that will work for you.
You can do it hun! One day at a time.

Welcome Blue! I always advise newbies to look at the success forum where many have reached their goals. http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/goal-199/
This inspired me beyond belief when I couldn't seem to get back on track. Seeing people who had much more weight to lose than I did really motivated me. Maybe it'll help you too! Not to mention finding a weight loss buddy board. That helps TONS. The community is amazing here.
You can do it!
