Hi to all! I'm not really sure how I found this site, I think I was googling some good recipes that I can use on Nutrisystem

But anyways, I have stumbled upon something great.

All my life I was skinny and was always 'the skinny one'. That is up until I was a junior in high school. I noticed that I had gained a few pounds here and there. My senior year I weighed about 130 and was in a size 7 jeans. When I went onto college I found myself eating all the time and pretty much whenever I could, just because it was there. It was easy just to stop off at '3 Cheeses and a Noodle' (our pasta place on campus) and buy a big bowl of pasta and eat it on the way to class/in class than it was to just bring something healthy.
So I ended up gaining quite a bit of weight, between the stress and the bored eating and all the sugary coffee (to keep me awake).
I found myself weighing in at 145, but it didn't bother me at the time.
In January of this year I had only gained a little weight but I was up to 149 without even realizing it. I decided to change my habits because I was terrified of weighing in the 150's. I know, it may not seem like much, but my weight doesn't distribute evenly, it all goes to my stomach and my thighs.
With diabetes running rampant on both sides of my family my mom told me I needed to do something about it (not in a mean way) before I put myself at serious risk for it.
On February 1st I started my 'diet'. For the month of February I was on my own plan, low carb, lots of meat, lots of cheese, pretty much Atkins, and salad. I was fine with that and working out, but my total weight loss for February was only 5 pounds, which seriously frusterated me.
So me and my mom talked about it (we're dieting together) and we decided to try Nutrisystem for March. I can say that I am more than ecstatic. I am losing, on average, 4 pounds a week.
I found out that my problem is portion control, I just like to eat, and I eat fast so I finish before my stomach has had a chance to tell my brain 'yo, guys I'm full, stop feeding me', so I just keep eating.
I am getting ready to start my second month of Nutrisystem, since I liked it and it actually worked.

My weight/excercise goals:

Starting/Current/Goal/Ultimate goal
148/131/120/110
Current BMI: 20.8
Goal BMI: 17.5

Mini-Goal 1--Mile in 10 minutes--ACHIEVED
Mini-Goal 2--Mile and a half in 10 minutes and 2 miles in 15
Mini-Goal 3--Run for 20 minutes straight, no stopping
Mini-Goal 4--Run for 25 minutes straight, no stopping
Mini-Goal 5--Run for 30 minutes straight, no stopping-and 4 miles in that time

Sorry this got so lengthy, had to get it out. But I have found a wonderful group that I seem to fit well with, the Featherweights.

Good luck to you all on your weight loss!!

(I wish I could have my signature now so I could put up my tracker! )
