Smile Taking the First Step!

Hi Everyone!

So like the title says, i'm taking the first step, to a healthier and happier life. I've been reading alot of the goal stories and looking at pictures and wow, if so many others can do it, why can't I?
I'm a single mom to a very VERY active 2 1/2 year old. Her biological father broke up with me when I was three months pregnant because I was overweight. The weight I was at then was actually my lowest in years due to not being able to eat the first three months and losing weight. I continued to console my self with food and used the "eating for two" excuse. I went into the hospital at 222 lbs which has been my heaviest to date and almost 3 years later i'm stuck between 195-200.
I've been dating a wonderful guy for 2 years that is very active and in shape and has never made one comment about my shape or weight. He knows that i'm unhappy with myself currently and is encouraging about doing what I need to do to be happy again, whether that be counting calories, going to the gym, not eating out as much... whatever.

So here I am. I'm friends with a girl who used this site and lost a bunch of weight and posted her goal story and that was the push I needed.
I'm using the Loseit! app on my phone and online to track my meals, i've been going to the gym twice a week since Jan. 1st ( A new years resolution that actually stuck!) and have been drinking 128 Oz. of water daily.

So why this site? Accountability. Goals. Progress. I've been doing these things for three months now and havent lost an ounce. I'm kicking it up a notch and setting goals. My first mini goal is centered on the vacation i'm going on in June to Myrtle Beach. 15 lbs. by then ( but hey, i'll accept more if it wants to melt off )

Thank you 3FC for the opportunity to be healthy!!

-Christy

Default You Can Do It!

I just joined today also. I did a weight loss plan that worked for me. I went from 195 to 130. That was after two kids. It is possible. Keep yourself on track and use the site to it's fullest abilities.

Thanks everyone! It helps to stay motivated reading other peoples stories. I've also adapted other peoples plans and workouts to what fits me, but it's great getting new ideas! Hello to all the other newbies!!!
