I found y'all by accident and I'm pretty sure it was no accident. I've been struggling with my weight for 24 years - when my first child was born, and now she'll be getting married this fall.
I like what I see, & now I just need to moovvvve on it!
Welcome lisarose -- glad you found your way here too! I have tried dieting a dozen times and I failed 11 of those times. It was only when I found this message board did I gain the knowledge I needed to do it right and stick to it!
Welcome Lisarose, Glad to have you join us. My advice is to look for a Support group, Chat, or Challange to join; small groups make it easier to get connected. Most sub-forums have groups covering almost every need, find one that inspires or motivates you and just post to join.
Y'all are all so kind, I'm excited now about truly trying. And I'm doing just the simple "duh" kind of things- for example at work, If I close at night, I gather up allthe stuff that needs to be taken back (I work retail) to the proper departments and continue walking for a few more "laps", there's a staircase inmy stockroom, I'll make the effort to go up & down a couple of times - no one will see me and think I'm "nuts"!
Hello lisarose! My Texas neighbor! The gulf coast covers a lot of miles, but I live near Beaumont. Glad to see you here, this is a great board. I don't post on it a lot, but I sure do read it a lot! There is so much good information here, and if you ever feel like you need some motivation, the goal photo thread is definitely the place to go! The internet is so helpful when you are trying to lose weight, between 3FC and caloriecount.com I have been doing pretty well. It helps me feel more connected to read and see what everybody else is doing. Welcome to the board and I wish you well in your efforts. You can do this!
