Talking Brand New to 3FC!

hello! i'm excited to be here!

i found this forum after doing a search on herbal magic, the weight loss program i chose for myself.

i am heavy set and have been since i was a teenager. but i know there is a skinny girl inside trying to come out! i'm not trying to be skinny really, just interested in losing the extra weight and having a body i feel really great about.

i am a Reiki teacher and practitioner, as well as a belly dance instructor. i go to the gym every day, weather permitting (i live in canada), and i like to swim. i have started learning how to run again! and i teach dance three times a week now, as a gentle exercise for beginners and senior ladies.

i have four children and a great husband, and we live in a small town with few things to make me feel motivated to leave the house for. i don't enjoy being outside solely because of mosquitoes. it just isn't fun! but i enjoy walking, gardening and being outside and am looking forward to the return of the sun this year so i can try some new types of bug repellent.

i started herbal magic in july of 2010 and have only lost 21 pounds. i know that it's my diet that's doing it. the coach is great and yes it's an expensive program but i'm alright with the cost if i can make it work. obviously i need a good deal of help to overcome my weight challenge and i'm willing to pay for it. it isn't easy and i'm not rich by any means. the coach is great and i like the supplements because i'm likely getting more good things from them than i was on my own, eating my way. but i'm supposed to have lost half my weight by now and i'm not even close.

my biggest challenge is that i don't eat enough. and what i do eat is probably really not good for me. i don't pig out on takeout or delivery foods. i do indulge in them, i won't lie. but i'm lucky to eat a single meal a day. it is partly that i find shopping for healthy food hard because it's so expensive and i have a large household to buy for. and it is partly that i'm really not used to eating gourmet style foods. yes to me, feta cheese is gourmet! so is cottage cheese or yogurt. they're extra foods i'm not used to eating. and i have a hard time splitting up the one meal i do have into bits to spread it out during a whole day. i spend a lot of time working at the computer and i just...forget! to eat, to go to the bathroom, to move around. i am learning though!

anyway, these are some of the challenges i face and the weight loss that brought me here. i have really liked what i've read so far and i'm looking forward to checking out the sub forums and finding posts to read. i'm not a big poster myself though this particular newbie post is rather longish isn't it. i apologize. i blurted

Welcome Krysty, Glad to have you join us. My advice is to look for a Support group, Chat, or Challange to join; small groups make it easier to get connected. Most sub-forums have groups covering almost every need, find one that inspires or motivates you and just post to join.

welcome krysty! This site is really inspirational, and if you poke around you can find some plans that other people have succeeded at that may be helpful based off you and your lifestyle. good luck!
