like walking into A A and introducing yourself..lol. Here it goes.. Hi, my name is sue. I live a really stressful life and have neglected myself because I put everyone first. I have things that nag at me. i have gained over 100 pounds and do not even recognize myself. I have Googled til I cannot Google anymore. I need people who know what it is like to live in an overweight, unhealthy body, praying to God every night for help to succeed. Every day I get up and say, today is the day! Then I drink a pot of coffee and scan the fridge and pantry and eat what I can get my hands on. Thing is, I have control issues...yet I cannot control my eating. how many of you have become the person everyone hands their leftovers too because they are full?? i raise my hand! So right now. this very minute, I am going to promise myself that tomorrow morning, will in fact be the 1st day to a healthy me. more tomorrow!

I think that you will find a ton of support here and people who 'get it', have lived it, are living it and will inspire you like no where else.

We are all struggling and have our own set of issues in regard to food, body images, lifestyle etc....

I hope that you find the support and help here that I know that I have.

You need a good plan that will sustain you over a long period of time. So, for the 3rd time this afternoon, I would just suggest you check out the Metabolic Research Center plan. I began last AUG 09, size 24, weight 244, and was wearing a size 14 jean by Christmas 09 (now am in a 12, so gonna get it going again). I feel like a different person even though I am not done yet. I find the plan easy to follow and filling. So, just sayin! Check it out! It is a little pricey, but it WORKS!!

I used to be that same girl. It's tough. It took a lot of courage and discipline to change, but I managed to pull through. You can do this, my beginning stats are really close to yours! I know you will succeed.

**A side note, this is coming from someone who used to be really lazy, ate the worst things you could think of, probably consumed about 3500-4500 calories a day, drank like a fish, and had just about accepted the fact that I was destined to be obese for the rest of my life and was ok with that. NO! My inner self wouldn't accept defeat, and she clawed her way out of that body and person! GO FOR IT!

You sound just like me! I also am a bit of a control freak and yet I can't seem to grab control over my desire to stuff my face with unhealthy foods.

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome, Sue! My first bit of advice is to get all the "junk" out of the house. It might be easeir to resist what isn't htere. You can do it, there are lots of different ways, and there will be a good group of chicks (and roosters) who can gvce you support whatever road you choose to travel on your weightloss journey.
