Newbie to College and 3FC!
Hi! After browsing anonymously for about a month and a half, I've finally decided to join, inspired by the fact that, in my first month at college, I've already gained 7 and a half pounds, even though I came already wanting to lose a bit of weight.
I've always been a normal-but-close-to-overweight BMI and weight, though with a lot of muscle, which I believe throws off the BMI a little. I love exercise, especially Zumba, but its limited availability here at the college is a problem. I also do Pilates twice a week for an hour each. The food here is also a problem; it's fantastic (especially the desserts), but it's so fattening! My college actually has nutritional information for all of our meals, which is great, but the calorie counts for even small amounts of food are absolutely astronomical, to the point where I've wondered if they're even accurate. I guess the extra weight speaks for itself, though. I also live in a dorm with a dining hall instead of a kitchen, so no cooking my own meals for me.
If anybody has any advice for what I can do to get started, especially from within a college environment, I would appreciate it!
