I used to work at Fazoli's and the pasta with Alfredo sauce and breadsticks are part of what helped my weight to climb, so I can definitely relate !!

Oh man, I've been there. LOL. I was a driver and MIT for Domino's, and have also worked at Waffle House, McDonald's, Denny's, Carrabba's... I will never work in around food again!

I'm also a guy, and at about the same height and weight as you (a little under 5'11", at 233 lbs as of yesterday).

You know what? I would rather lose 3 pounds a month and keep it off than lose 20 pounds a month and gain it all back. They say lose slow to keep it off. So be very proud of what you have achieved so far. Most people would say that what are you doing is the best way to lose weight. Just think: 12 months x 3 pounds per month = 36 pounds. At your rate, I could shed my goal in about 2 years, and I bet you a large sum of money (I've got $2.58 right here!) I could keep it off for good.

I just said it, but I'll say it again - BE PROUD of what you've achieved so far. In this day of drive-through everything, instant gratification, and credit cards, it's hard to be patient and to work slowly toward a goal.

You WILL succeed! You ARE succeeding! Tell yourself that every day.

Unless you are training to be a professional athlete, it's also tough to try to lose weight at school with all the sitting (and napping?) you do all day. Do what you can. Walk everywhere you can walk. Jog when you can jog. Drink plenty of water, and avoid the flavorful drinks. Do plenty of push-ups and sit-ups, which you can do anywhere, anytime, no special equipment needed. The extra muscle mass will help you drop the pounds even faster.

I look forward to hearing more positive updates from you, my friend. You WILL succeed!
