I am a 32 yr old phlebotomist living in MD. I starting really trying to lose weight about 2 weeks ago. Since then i have lost 13 pounds. At my biggest i was 226 pounds. So far i have gotten down to 213 pounds. My mini goal is to be under 200 pounds in the next 2 weeks. I know big weight lose isnt always good but I know i can keep it off when i reach my final weight of 150 pounds. I have also had some issues fighting me in my weight loss issue including a malfunction thyroid.

Hi there, and

Congrats on your losses so far! Weight loss is always quicker at the start...you'll drop water weight and fat. It'll start to slow down, most likely, so don't feel discouraged if you don't lose 13 lbs so quickly. The important thing is that you keep working toward your goal.

What is your plan? We have forums for all kinds of eating plans, so look around! You might also check out the 30-somethings forum, for those in that age range.

Jump on in and keep posting. Can't wait to get to know you better!

My plan is just shaking up how i eat. I never ate breakfast and always ate late at night. So now instead of not eating breakfast i am eating at least a yogurt. As for my regular meals I have just made the switch to eating less fast food and more veggies and fruits. I am trying to eat less than 1200 calories per day and do at least 30 mins on my wii fit. I am hoping in the next week or two to get a bike and start doing 20 to 30 mile rides within 1 month.
