14 years ago I lost 80 pounds. Slowly over the last 13 years I have gained it all back plus more. For the last year and a half I have been using the excuse that my being over weight is due to having both my kids over the age of 35. I finally have admitted that it is no excuse.
In my search for a forum to join for support I have landed here. I am now one full week back into eating like I should and my spouse who needs to lose about 50 pounds has committed to healthy eating with me. Something he never really has done before.
My main goal is to get healthy and fit to keep up with my kids as well as lower my blood pressure so I do not end up on meds like I did when I was pregnant.
Oh yeah, I am sick of my back, neck, legs, etc. hurting. I wake up with such back pain and I know losing some of this weight will reduce the pain.
Hey to 3fc I wish you well on your weight loss journey
I have to lose around 100lbs too, it's such a scary thought to me, but everyone here is so helpful
We are really glad you are here, now realize it took you 13 years to gain weight so give yourself time to acclimate again to a new way of eating and exercising, be good to yourself and have patience. We are all here to support you and please keep us posted

Thank you for the well wishes. It is scary to think about. But what scares me even more is not being around for my little ones. I know if I do not do something now I will just keep gaining the weight.

Great advice. Last week I had it in my mind to lose as much weight as quickly as possible, this week I know that I need to do exactly what I did do 14 years ago. Start walking & moving & eat more of the right foods and much much much less of the bad foods.
I'm happy. I have lost 3 pounds since last Friday!
I'm so psyched this time. I'm just aiming at eating healthy. It is so hard...but I'm doing it! I bought a Costco Brand diet shake today in Chocolate flavor. Just to have on hand a few days a week for my craving of chocolate. Other than that I'm eating fruits, veggies, protein, nuts, grains, etc...Damn those chocolate cravings!!
Hi. I just joined 3FC too! I'm a week in to my journey and would love to lose 90 pounds. Tomorrow is my first weigh in! I've had a great week (keeping track of my food intake/calories) and am really feeling good about getting rid of the weight this time!
