Welcome. Since Chicks can be overwhelming at first, I suggest you look for a support group or challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated. Find one you like that fits your needs, or inspires you, and just post to join.
Thank you to everyone for your welcome and support, I am taking my first walk with my dog today, it will be almost a year since I've done so, I suppose we both will be feeling allot better when we come back. I know for sure the dog will, but I'm not a walking person, so the effort is a really push to a beginning of an everyday experience.

Welcome Sistawhoo, I wasn't big on walking at first either, but just like calorie counting, it gets easier the more you do it. I actually look forward to my walks.
