Just wanted to pop in and say "Hi All!"
I am a 36 year old single mom from the United Kingdom (Buckinghamshire).
In 2005 my 14 year marriage ended and my husband kicked myself and our 10 year old son out of our home 9It wasn't due to any fault of m ine I hasten to add!), I had to have my horse put down and I had to leave my 4 cats behind and go move in with my parents.
Shortly after I was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis, but I am not one to let anything hold me back. The first 2 weeks after the marriage ended I lost 2 stone of weight (I weighed 275 pound at my heaviest!) and gained a few pure white hairs on my head!

The following year i dragged my still overweight backside up a mountain in Wales on the hottest day of the year! It was a struggle but a turning point! I realised the world is now my oyster and If I try hard enough I can do whatever I want!

So... now I have a plan!
I am currently down to 210 pound (lost 56!) but still have another 86 pound to go!). I started running last year and completed the Adidas Women's 5K Challenge - running all of it!
I now workout 6 days a week and am hoping to run in the London Marathon (but I have a shed load of weight to lose before that!), so I am on a mission, I HAVE to lose that weight before I run in the marathon and I have to hope my knee holds out!
I am stubborn to a fault but caring, sensitive and supportive of others. I came here to find encouragement to help me reach my milestone and to encourage others, to show that you can lose the weight, I lost quite a bit so far but still have a long way to go!
I admit - I am struggling, my weight has hit a level and I can't seem to get it moving (downwards) again.
Despite what has happened to me I don't see it as the end of something - it was the beginning - of the rest of my life!!
Big hugs to all, sending much love to those starting their journeys too.
Hope to see you all around in the forums!
Jax
