New from Ontario (My story)

  • Hi everyone! I found this site today while searching reviews for the 30 day shred with Jillian Michaels. I got really inspired while reading the forum and decided to join myself. I have never been really thin. My lowest adult weight was 150 when I got married 6 years ago. I maintained at 165 until I had my son (I gained over 60 pounds!) I lost 30 right away. I was at 196 when I decided to do weight watchers. I was down 15 pounds when my husband suddenly had two grand mal seizures and was diagnosed with epilepsy at 28 years old. It was a stressful time, since he couldn't drive (very difficult to run a business which requires travel) I turned to food at this time and gained back the 15 plus another 10. I tried doing weight watchers again, but I wasn't as motivated this time around. About six weeks ago I was talking to a good friend and she was finding success with weight loss and she inspired me to try again. About a month ago I started doing the 30 day shred. I am still doing it (since I didn't do it everyday) so far I have lost 6 pounds, 3 inches around my waist, 1 inch in each of my arms, 1 inch in my hips and thighs. This is just the beginning. I hope that I can keep myself motivated this time. I am going to try to work out 5-6 days a week and follow WW on my own.

    My hubby is doing much better now (although he can be forgetful at times and the meds he is on make him tired) The biggest thing is that I don't have to drive him everywhere now that he has his licence back lol!
