Default Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hello! My name is Kate, and I'm 26 and live in LA. I used to be super fit - I ate healthy food and was a runner, but for the past two years I have been glued to an insane job and it's resulted in a 50 pound weight gain. I've been trying everything but I can't get motivated or stay dedicated to a healthy lifestyle anymore.

I've had several low points over the past few months, including needing a new business suit for a work event (none of mine fit anymore) and not being able to fit into anything at the store, to signing up for horseback riding lessons today and lying about my weight by 30 pounds (I weight about 5 pounds less than their max).

So anyway, I'm really looking forward to the support that you all seem to provide one another here and I can't wait to meet all of you and get involved!!

Welcome Kate. Since Chicks can be over-whelming at first, I suggest you look for a support group or challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated, find one you like that fits your needs, and just post to join.

You might try focusing on makig one small change at a time, and getting that into a habit/routine before starting another change. Be consisitant, and I'm sure you will see the changes you are after.
