New here...not sure where I belong
Hi all,
I'm Chris, 44, live in Canada, and have gradually been losing weight for awhile, starting with switching to brown carbs, lower fat, lower sugar, etc., started exercising, and so forth. I started at about 205, and was down to about 163, but I had a setback recently where I gained back 20 pounds over a year, and am trying to get back on track.
Before I turned 32, I was about 160 pounds (and that was the highest it ever went), but then my mother died suddenly and I packed on the pounds in a big way--up to 205. So I had about 60 pounds to lose and now I'm about 40 to goal. I've been doing low-sugar and calorie counting again.
No sure where I belong...I have made a few stray posts in the wrong forums, sorry. Calorie counting is sort of close to where I am, but so is sugar addiction, and there doesn't seem to be anything specific for the low sugar. Low sugar is what helped me lose the original 40, so I'm doing that again.
Nice to be here!
