Default Hi! Suggestions wanted

Hi. I'm a long time reader, but finally joined today. I have been the "chubby" child in a family of super thin siblings who eat like there's not tomorrow. Yet looks as if I ate all their food

I just became engaged. Yay! But now have to work hard to lose the "chub." My fiance loves me as I am, but I would love to not look like a big fat ball in a white dress. Ugh!

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve my goal?

A little background (sorry so long), I was in a car accident 5 years ago and it messed up my entire right side of my body. It still is very weak and can not lift more than 3 lbs. Can't even do a push up any more. Running is hard because my right kneed is messed up. So you see, a lot of things I am not able to do with this hinderance. So very deflated at this moment.

Thanks in advance for everyone's suggestions!

I hope you have a great day!

Hi smilingcutie and

Congratulations! on your engagement! My suggestion would be to peruse the many different plans that are avaliable for weight loss and pick something that fits your lifestyle. My most important criteria was a plan that I could follow for life. I realize especially since I've been here for a year now, that when we reach our goal that we must continue to be vigilant in order to maintain.

My DH had an injury which affected the entire right side of his body. He still has no feeling, but enjoys lifting weights. I believe it is possible to take any activity you enjoy and work your way into being stronger again.

Best wishes!
