I haven't posted much yet, but I've been devouring the boards, trying to figure out how to get my weight loss re-jumpstarted. Last christmas (as in, 08) I went on vacation and lost 7 pounds in those 10 days. that led to dropping off a total of close to thirty pounds. Then we moved, and although I would swear my eating and exercising didn't change, I have stayed consistently within a few pounds of that weight ever since. And this could be a plateau weight, but 183?
I've had varying degrees of motivation, and exercise. mostly during this time I've been working on solving my emotional eating issues and other issues that keep me from feeling like I deserve to be thin.
(last year, shortly after I turned 26, was the first time in my life I've ever been out of the 'poverty/low income' range.)
Anyway, 3fc has been a godsend, I love reading all the posts and ideas, and someone on here posted a link to the hacker's diet, which explained the triggers in a unique way that really clicked with me. so that, combined with reading the maintainer's forum and realizing that a skinny person who eats whatever they want does not equal ME eating whatever I want,
has really motivated me to start posting and making progress with my weight loss. I'm hoping to lose 1.5 pounds or so a week, if so I'll be where i want to be before Christmas! yay!
so here's hoping.
