Texas Newbie

  • Howdy from the Lone Star State, y'all!

I've been very slightly overweight most of my life, although I always thought of myself as fat. After the last of my 4 kids were born I gained quite a bit of weight - got up to a size 16, and close to 200 lbs. I lost 55 lbs very quickly by doing the Weigh Down Workshop, and kept it off, staying a size 6, for 3 years. A traumatic personal event sent me back into the stuff-your-face-for-comfort spiral, and now I find myself heavier than I've ever been, but finally committed to change.

I like the idea of small, short-range goals. I'll be doing the same kind of eating plan as Weigh Down, minus the unbalanced guilt that comes along with the program itself. I plan to set myself 10 day goals for diet and exercise. I can't wait to get my ticker!

    **waves hello**
