Hey there. My name is Luna and I'm morbidly obese (Hi, Luna!). I used to come to these forums a long time ago (like 2 years ago) when I lost about 70 pounds in a year. Then I started backsliding, and eventually I regained all the weight I'd lost, plus about 30 pounds more. I'm pre-diabetic and have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, as a direct result of my weight. So, I need to lose weight not just to fit into a smaller pair of jeans, but because of my health as well.
I've just started back with the healthier eating & exercising, and I've lost 10 pounds in about a week. I know it's just water weight, but it's still really exciting.
I've had some luck on the Weight Watchers program and plan on rejoining them at the beginning of next month.
In general I'm optimistic and feeling really motivated, but I'm also really scared that I won't be able to do this again. Any advice or recommendations from the community would be most appreciated. Thanks everyone!
Hi Luna, I'm in the same boat with you... I gained back 60# that I have lost last year, and now I'm so frustrated and disappointed with myself... but now I'm back "on the wagon" as you say .
I'm glad that you restarted taking care of your health. I'm sure that here, us both will find the support that we so much need.
