Default Hi everyone!

I generally dislike the introductions thread on forums... no one knows what to say, it usually ends up being the same information that everyone else posts, and who has nothing better to do than check thru the thread for new members to greet them? I guess that responsibility falls to the mods, so hello mods!

Anyway, all ranting aside, I'm here because I can remember a time a decade ago when I used to be thin, and ever since then I've been... let's say squishy, and trying to get back to that thinness in all the wrong ways. I struggled with an eating disorder for about seven years, and finally reached my breaking point a few months ago, at which point I decided to just let myself overeat and not stress - it's better than starvation. Now I want to get rid of the chubbiness but do it in a healthy way, so I'm here in hopes that this friendly environment and people to keep me accountable will help me stay on that path.

Hello from 1 stranger to another! I guess that getting dieting/healthy eating advice or whatever you want to call it is much like getting parenting tips when you fall pregnant - the point being that everyone has their own opinion but you should stick to what feels right to you. I ended up going to a dietician because of high sugar levels amongst other things and I was surprised just how much food is available if you eat a balanced diet + eat in moderation. At the moment my eating plan is not as on track as it should be but that's just an obstacle in my journey. SO WELCOME & GOOD LUCK!!!
