Ello~! *waves shyly*
Hi~!
I'm Mercedes, 19, and my biggest weakness is bread/pasta. :C Now, that wouldn't be so bad if I didn't eat so much of it at one time. It's unfortunate I can't blame it on my grandmother for her excellent cooking. ><
Anywho.
My main reason for being at 3FC is for support. I have the motivation to lose weight, but without support it kinda becomes moot for me. I've been on several, several diets, but last year when I went to the doctor, I realized my weight had shot up. About that time, I made the decision that I wanted to follow in my grandfathers footsteps and join the military, but to join the USAF, I had to be at the most 160.
I got serious at the beginning of October and by November I had dropped 15 pounds through Kirkland shakes and exercise. Then I got sick along with a little exercise induced whiplash, gained half back, and then I lost it again.
For the past few months, I've wanted to diet, and have, but it's only lasted a week at a time. I finally talked my mama into dieting with me, but unfortunately, her version of dieting had me gaining almost all my weight back. (Which seems to be a trend.)
Then, at the beginning of this month I received a call from the Army, all went well until I revealed my height and weight. They hung-up quicker than I could have said whippoorwill. I can't blame them, although, it did hurt quite a bit, but it made me see they weren't going to take me seriously at this weight. No matter what.
So, I'm restarting my diet on April 1st with the hope that being here will keep me on track. The sad thing is, I dread getting back into a workout routine. I burnt myself out last time.
I was doing physical training Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Sat. While I did weight training Wed, Fri, and Sun. Then, every other day, I did 3 sets of push-ups.
This time around I may need to tone it down a bit.
With all that said, I'm on the what-seems-to-be-an-impossible-mission to lose 60 pounds by August. C:
Sorry, for such a long introductory post.
I'm open for any advice (foods I should avoid and snacks that won't eat me up in calories or some nice exercise plans) and would love some kind of substitute for vegetables, that don't taste like veggies- for I dearly detest them. D: Thank you. ^^
:)
