Hi, Just joined the site. I have dieted on my own for the past week and doing ok - cutting out almost all white carbs and counting every calorie on a spreadsheet staying under 1800. I feel quite a bit better already with just that much change. Think I am down about 5 lbs - only 95 to go
I was inspired to lose this weight when I flew recently and had to ask for a seatbelt extender - also turning 60 soon - it's now or never.
I'm looking forward to checking in and I can use all the support I can receive.
Welcome! I am kindof a lurker on this site, but I find it helps me just to read other people's posts and know that other people struggle with their weight too. I am also right now calorie counting and focusing on whole foods with low sugar, high protein and fiber. Keep on truckin' and the weight will come off. It has to. Many others on this site have great advice too, so welcome and I wish you the best!
Hi Woman Marine, I'm brand new today too. My heaviest weight ever was about five months ago, also 263 like you. I'm going by inches and haven't the foggiest what I weigh now, but I really like the inches route because that has been a big change already for me since my start date of November 18th, 2009. I wish you all the best!!
I'm new here myself. Look around and you will find so much here to get you inspired to reach your goals. The common bond here at 3FC helps keep me motivated and I return daily for encouragement by reading different threads. Keep up the good work and let us know how you are doing on your journey.
Thanks for the warm greetings. I appreciate the enthusiasm and support that I can see in these pages. It's especially encouraging to read the success stories. I look forward to posting my own some day too.
