Default It has been a while...

I have been a member here for a while, but gave up and just stopped trying to lose weight. I am officially back on the wagon again, and this time it really seems to be working. I started back in the fall after I stepped on the scale and saw 250. I refused to get on the scale for a while after that because I was positivly horrified. 250 is the weightlimit on some things, that was all I could think was that I had maxed out the weight limit.

So, I finally decided that I had to make a change. My blood pressure was bad, I snore so loud my husband couldn't sleep in the same room, and my knees were killing me. I started going to the gym back in the fall and started watching what I ate, slowly... nothing drastic but small changes so that I wouldn't want to give up.

I made my biggest change in January when I officially stopped drinking Pepsi. I LOVE Pepsi, but I am killing myself by drinking so many calories everyday. It hasn't been too bad. I am actually starting to like the way that I look again, I still have a very long way to go but I am on the road at least.

I started at over 250, remember I refused to get back on the scale after that and I am currently 208. I have gone from being a tight size 20 to a very loose 18. I could probably wear some 16 now but I dont' have any at the moment.

Congratulations on what you have achieved. Giving up your old fix of Pepsi and realizing you survived and even thrived is huge! Imagine what else you can change and get such significant improvement in your life. It is totally up to you, as you have proved!

I have been lurking for the past few months. I am still going in with my weight loss, I am currently 180 lbs and I have started jogging. I still can't believe that I am jogging... I never thought I would see the day! I am still slow and I can't go far yet, but my plan is to work my way up to doing a marathon. I am so happy with the ways that I have changed my body so far and I look forward to more changes to come. I STILL haven't had a Pepsi, and now I don't even want one anymore! LOL that seems like a miracle to me. I wish everyone on this journey good luck. It is hard, but it is worth it in the end. The most important thing is to keep going. I screw up all the time, but I just start over. If I didn't eat well this weekend, then I tell myself that I am committed to doing better this week. I have realized that it is ok to call a "do over" for myself. I can start again instead of giving up! Good luck everyone!
