Talking Hello everyone... New to the site

Hello everyone,
I just want to go ahead and take the time to introduce myself. My name is Jessica, known to friends and family as Jessi or Jess I just turned 30, single, and no kids... and oh so ready to enjoy life to the fullest
My reason for joining is to keep myself motivated by reading everyone elses success stories and to ask for help when I need it. I've been "trying" to lose weight for a while now, but always end up falling off the wagon.
This time it's different. I'm motivated and ready to change my life. I've let my weight burden me in many ways. I've limited myself in traveling or just a simple trip to the beach. I used to feel that everyone was starring at me. I'm not completely there yet (comfortable with me), but I know that I will slowly get to where I want to be. I decided that I'm gonna go ahead and do the "south beach diet" and go to the gym. It worked for me before, until I stopped, lol. With this said, I really hope to gain more knowledge and confidence in myself with your help. Thank you for reading. I hope to make new friends here....

Welcome to 3FC!!!

I'm excited for your weight loss journey....it will be hard but can definitely be done.

I'm right there in the same boat with you. I too have over the years started to seal myself in. I never want to go out, to restaurants, to bars, to movies, or even to friends houses. I hate the way I look & always feel like people are judging me & laughing at my weight (I mean, I would...I'm a beast)

I'm slowly but surely learning to love myself a litle more, I've lost 14lbs in 2 weeks...and can't wait to start seeing it in the way my clothes fit!!

I wish you the best

Hi Jessi!
Many of us here have lost only to give-up and/or gain it back - but you're here now and that can make the difference this time - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on..

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired. Try the 30 somethings, the weight loss support forums, they're active and very helpful - also the Success stories are a definite must for motivation. Check out the South Beach forum for advice and support from others doing that plan too.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome - you've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
Lee
