My name is Tia and I just joined a couple days ago. I came across this site some time last year, but didn't join right away. I have finally joined and am starting on my (seemingly) millionth weight loss journey (but I pray that it will be my LAST...). Like many, I've been overweight my whole life and I've tried to lose weight many times, and I have lost some here and there, but it usually comes back. Now I have health concerns that are made worse by my weight. Of course those same health concerns have caused me to GAIN even more weight, and I am now at an all time high of 324lbs.

Anyway, here I am, ready to have some company and encouragement along this journey. I look forward to celebrating milestones with you all!

Welcome to Yo-Yo Central! - many of us can relate to your story - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! There's also info and first hand advice on different eating plans and exercise to help choose the right ones for you and get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

Hey I am new here too!!! We weight about the same and I am hoping to lose atleast 100 pounds. I just need a buddy to push me along....someone to chat with everyday to see how well we have done. I just moved to where I live now....so I don't really know anyone. Hoping to meet some new people soon!! I would like to find someone close to me to work out with. But that will be down the road...when it is warmer outside. So hopefully we will be able to chat with each other and keep the motivation going.
