Hi, I found this message board while looking for dieting tips online. I've been dieting since a bit over a year ago. So far I've lost about 30 pounds, and I need to lose about 20 more to reach my goal weight of 135-140 pounds. I used a diy weight watchers point system and exercise to lose weight the first time. I had gotten down to 150 and then started slacking so I'm now around 160. I want to be 140 or less so I'm hoping I can overcome my plateau and get more motivated to lose these last 20 pounds. I already got myself a treadmill as an early Christmas gift so I can keep exercising more even when its really cold out

I am new to this site also. I am around the same height and my weight goals are about the same as yours! I also need motivation to keep going to lose that extra 20 or 30 pounds! Good for you for getting the treadmill!! I hope it works out for you! Congrats on your success so far!!

Congrats on your success so far - sounds like you have a good plan - no looking back, just moving forward (especially on the new treadmill!) -the support you need is here - you can do this - and we'll all be here to cheer you on!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! There's also info and first hand advice on different plans to help get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome This forum has so much to offer in terms of inspiration, good tips, and support, I'm glad I found it. Looking forward to seeing these numbers start shrinking again soon.
