Smile New here

Hi Everyone,
Where to start!?! I have struggled with my weight since college. It got out of hand after a breakup. Now I am on the right track to losing weight and I feel great. I started with Ideal Protein 10 weeks ago and lost 33 lbs. But the cost is just to much. Being single now, owning my home with the bank and we all know that the dollar does not stretch as far as it use to, I just decided to try it on my own. Since I stopped paying for Ideal Protein, I have lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks. Not bad on my own. I still follow the same food as with Ideal Protein but I added my own protein bars - Pure Protein and a Whey protein drink. Much cheaper and I am still losing.

So that is where I am now. Down 38 lbs but I still have 60 to go.

COngrats on being able to do it on your own. Alot is training your mind to think about food in a different way! I am still on IP & it is straining my pocket book. I may have to consider your route soon, as soon as I have this program down, at least I know it can be done!
Thanks & Great work!

Congratulations on your weight loss so far - keep up the good work. I have just started back at Weight Watchers and have lost 5+ pounds. A small start but with the holidays coming up, I needed to start somewhere. I have a great support network at work with 3 other women all in the same boat. It is much easier to say no when your friends are watching!!

Hi Judy!
Sounds like you're doing great on your own after that wonderful start - congrats on your success so far - good luck with your goals - we'll all be here to cheer you on!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! There's also info and first hand advice on different plans to help you choose the right one for you and get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!
