Default New kid on the block.

Hello everyone. This place looks great. I wish I'd found it sooner!

I've been dieting for years. I am 5'2" and was 189 at my heaviest. When I needed to shop in the plus sized section I decided to lose.

Lost 40 lbs on Atkins. Gained back 30.

This time I'm trying to just change my diet to something I can live with and exercise. Boring, but I hope it'll work.

Ditched sugar and fatty foods but haven't lost much. I HAVE to work out to lose anything.

Here I go!

Welcome...I am a newbie here too...but not a newbie to trying to lose weight.

Today I am so fortunate to be able to work from home a lot of the time... but I also get myself in trouble cuz I need to be doing some work vs reading and writing on 3fc <SMILE> My staff fired me last week LOL

3FC is wonderful and the quiet of my home is wonderful too!

A shout out to all the NEWBIES!

Cathy

Hey hey!! Your goal is much the same as mine... and as much as it might sound boring, it is the healthiest goal, and WILL work, as long as you stick to it! Keep working toward healthier eating habits that you can live with, and exercise that you can not loathe, or even enjoy! And you may not drop 50 lbs in a week, but you will develop a healthier lifestyle that will lose those pounds at a healthy rate, and then enable you to STAY healthy! You go!!

Hi skinnynsweet!
Good luck with your goals - we'll be here to cheer you on!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! You'll also find info and first hand advice on different plans to help get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

Wow. So this was me introducing myself almost 3 years ago.

I remember how determined and excited I was to start losing weight. Too bad it didn't stick.

Now I'm 20 lbs. heavier at 190 and trying again. This time, my health is worse and I feel awful, so hopefully that's more incentive.

I'm not really all "Gung ho" about losing the weight this time...after crashing and burning before.

I just hope I have it within myself to make some kind of progress.
