Default I'm new here!

Aloha everyone,

I've spent the last couple hours lurking and checking things out... what a great community it is here! I figured I might as well jump in, say hello and start getting to know you all.

I hope to spend quite a bit of time here the next few months

Anyway, I lost the first 26 pounds about 6 months ago then I got pretty far off track. In fact I had actually lost 31 pounds but I've gained 5 back... not good!

Anyway I'm back on my plan and I have been for a couple weeks now. This includes yoga 6 days a week, circuit training which includes cardio/strength 4 days a week and then I do an aerobics class 2 times a week. Tomorrow starts water aerobics, which I'll be doing 3 times a week so I'll be keeping busy- lol!

As for the food, I'm a vegetarian so it had been about cutting out the beer, the cake/ice cream and all that junk! I have been baking my own whole wheat pita bread and whole wheat oatlmeal cookies for snacks which has been a fun way to get really involved with what I'm eating. Lots of fruits, veggies and of course water.

Things have been pretty still for about a week though, not a pound lost. I'm hoping it's due to building some muscle

Well I look forward to meeting you all!

Welcome! How cool is that that u live in HI! Wow! I am in Iowa and it is cold and rainy and gloomy...Of course it could be that way where you are...but I know what is coming soon....snow and more cold!

I lurked on this sight for a long time. I have always been close mouthed about my dieting efforts. Actually never wanted to call it dieting. I've learned a lot through the years and know I will learn more and more. Also, I can't believe I posted my weight on here! Hoot!

This site has been good for me. I hope you find it good for you too.

Cathy

I'm relatively new here too. I'm rather secretive about dieting, so here I can find all the information, and ask any question I like.

Welcome! And congrats on your weightloss so far!

Hi bensempress!
It's sounds like you're back on track and off to a great start with a solid plan - congrats on your success so far - good luck with your goals - we're all here to cheer you on!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! You'll also find info and first hand advice on different plans to help get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

Default Hi

Aloha. Welcome. I'm also new here.

I just gave up beer too and my tummy is already flatter. It's been about a month. It'll happen!

Your workout plan sounds exhausting but fun.

Good luck!
