I've never joined a support group of any kind, but here I am, lol. I'm 31 years old and the mother of two small children. I was active in high school, playing several sports, but always stayed around 180 pounds, which is right at the top of acceptable for my 5'11" large frame. Since hitting adulthood, stress, depression, and bearing children has taken it's toll and I have found myself creeping and creeping upward until I hit 365 lbs after the birth of my last child. I've taken control of things, and have been working hard at controlling my calorie intake and walking every night for the last three months. So far I have lost 20 lbs. but I still have a looooong "weigh" to go. I'm usually a very uplifting person, so I am hoping I will be able to be helpful to some of the other ladies here, while learning from all of you some tips and ideas for controlling my loss. I look forward to it.
