Hi,
i'm new to the forum, I've been struggling with my weight since grade school, I was a chubby kid, and fat teen, lost some weight in college and now I seem to be gaining it all back.

My highest weight was 240, now I was at 170 at my lowest and now I'm at 200lbs again.

I've been under lots of stress at work, and with a cheating partner, and emotional eating is a big problem for me.

I joined weight watchers 3 months ago, and never really srarted, I did a week, then didn't and so on. I've decided that I'm setting myself up for this Sunday and starting my new life! I've also bought The Beck Diet Solution, hoping that it will help me change the way I think about food. Hopefully I can think like a thin person.

I'm actually a pastry chef, I know! It's definatly not the right career choice for someone trying to lose weight, but I do like what I do.

Hopefully I can meet some people and can get some support and offer my support

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained!

There are lots of people here with more to lose and lots with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a short time myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome aboard - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

HANG IN THERE - WE"VE ALL BEEN WHERE YOU ARE & KNOW HOW YOU FEEL - YOU CAN DO IT!

Welcome, and I do hope you can find the support you need! I have tried WW for like a day.... and then I realized I can't do it. Well I couldn't at that time, because my "head" wasnt in it. I would eat what I wanted, and just claim the points ... rather then working the points to eat the better for me foods. KWIM?

Pastry chef? Wow! Yeah, that would bring lots of temptation, but I imagine you probably have built a good strong will against those things.
