Hi my name is Debbie and I just joined Weight Watcher's on Wednesday.

I think I'm like everyone, I'm looking for being healthy but also be able to fit into some smaller sized clothes, that's my goal.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that WW really works for me, it's been good so far.

Looking forward to getting to know your stories

Hi Debbie!
Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained!

There are lots of people here with more to lose and lots with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a short time myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome aboard - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

Default Debbie and Onederchic, congrats on your successes!

I joined Weight Watchers five weeks ago and have lost 7 lbs. Nothing is happening quickly. That's ok. I feel good. I'm eating well. I'm exercising. I am the turtle who is moving slowly but surely towards my goal. It will work, Debbie, just stick with it and stay positive. It will work. And Onederchic, what a success you have under your belt. I quit smoking Oct 22, 2000. It will be nine years for me soon. I consider it my best success. If we can quit smoking, we can accomplish anything. I'm having difficulty finding my way around the forum, but if I can quit smoking, and stick to WW, then I can find my way. Barb

I've joined WW and it has helped me, but I had to quit because I can't keep paying monthly. But I have followed the rules (not entirely, like counting points) afterwords and I am still losing weight. Point is, IF, WW doesn't work out, continue eating healthy and be active, and you'll see yourself shrink.
Good luck!

Thanks for the encouraging words, they sure do mean a lot. I have been doing well I think, been doing the journaling thing religiously and I feel good. Two more days and I do my first weigh in.
