Default Cereals craving

Hi everyone,

I am new here. I need your advice on this one.

I do like cereals. What kind of cereals that I can add for the program in losing weight.

Any ideas?

Ooohhh...good question! I love cereal too, but dont know which to eat...especially since I don't like boring cereal.

I like Banana Nut Crunch, Raisin Bran...stuff like that--but don't really know if any of it is actually any good for me.

I like All Bran. My husband gets a variety of high fiber or high flax cereals from Trader Joe's that he likes quite a bit (I haven't tried them since I like my All Bran).

Welcome to the forums. I like cereal, too. My diet allows me to eat a version of honey nut oats (kinda like Honey Nut Cherrios) and it won't adversely affect my diabetes or weight loss plan.

frankly.. boxed cereal is all pretty similar with a few exceptions. the "boring" ones, lol. i eat life cereal. kelloggs raisin bran has 190 cal/cup and 1.3 grams of fat. 342 mg of sodium, and a whopping 17.2 grams of sugar. now look at lucky charms 122 cal/cup, 1.1 grams of fat, 204 mg of sodium, and 11 grams of sugar. not how you'd expect them to look right?

cereal is probably about 1/3 of what i eat. like i said, i eat life cereal which is only 6g of sugar and 150 mg of sodium/serving. as far as breakfast cereals go.. theyre all really pretty similar. unless you go with whole oats or hot cereals, you really can choose any one you like.

Welcome!
I like High Fibre Crisp. It's a product by Wheatties. It's got alot of different types of cereal in it and you can't eat it fast because it needs to soften a bit in some milk. It's also good in yogurt. I like Bran Buds in my yogurt too. they both need to be left for a bit before eating which is perfect for me because I can do my makeup in the morning while it sits.

Good luck!

Welcome !
I love cereals too !!!

I love Special K and Honey Nut Cheerios.
Stay away from Raisin Bran, it is a big no no.
It has the most sugar in it ! I think it's something like 2 whole cups in ever box. So along with their "two scoops" of raisins also comes the sugar

I adore, ADORE Kashi Go Lean.

Problem is--I binge the stuff. Like a starving beast, I inhale it.

I eat oats most of the time--even uncooked, topped with yogurt, blueberries, almond milk and a few almonds. I sprinkle it with ground flaxseed.

Hi all! I usually eat cereal every morning...alternating cherrios, rice krispies and special k. I only eat 1/2 cup with 3 oz of milk and it seems to be really working with the weight loss. Lost 3 lbs since Tuesday....very excited and motivated! 41 lbs to meet goal!

I like the Kashi Autumn Wheat - basically shredded wheat. Put a little milk on and sweeten with Splenda - MMMMM! If I have a serving of that in the morning I don't feel like eating any lunch - it really fills me up for quite awhile and I push back lunch an hour or so.
