Default Ack! My husband cannot weigh less than me!

My husband is 6'2" - has been on Weight Watchers since January, and if I don't do something soon, he will weigh less than me . .. I just joined and look forward to getting your inspiration, help and hints!

Short profile - we have three kids at home 9 yr old son, 7 1/2 yr old son and 7 yr old daughter.

I'm a working mom.

My weight has just crept up the last 10 years 5 pounds a year until I've found myself over 200.

I am not athletic and have never enjoyed physical activity. Probably my biggest drawback in the lifestyle changes I need to make.

thanks for including me here!

Welcome! I joined back in March and this community is so supportive. I feel I can share what I am thinking about weight loss with this group and they get it.

Good luck on your journey. Remember it came on slowly and that is the best way for it to come off.

Welcome!!! I have found really good support here. I don't like to exercise much either so I just started out with 5 or 10 minutes of stretching or walking per day. At work I walk around the parking lot on my breaks, I take the stairs instead of the elevator, I ordered an inexpensive book of easy exercises to do at home to tone up. I have still not gotten into a walking routine at home but there is hope for me.

I wish you much success in your weight loss and exercise goals!!!

Denise - I'm new here too, so let me also wish you well!

I totally understand not only about how the weight can creep up on you, but also your feelings about physical activity. My late mother used to say that the most exercise I ever got as a child was putting my gym clothes on and then taking them off. I struggle with the exercise portion of weight loss every day.

Good luck meeting your weight loss goals!

I've been a member here for a long...time! I lost a ton of weight about 8 years ago with the support of 3FC buddies. Unfortunately, I gained the weight back probably due to not keeping in touch with the lovely members here. I'm trying to make this site a priority because I know support is what we need to help us lose weight. I have a long ways to go, and I definitely want to weigh less than my husband! Let's try to help one another, okay?

I'm new here too, so hopefully we can all support each other!
Just remember to take it one habit change at a time and then you won't find it overwhelming. That's what I'm focussing on right now.

What twisterella said is so true. I say this from experience. My changes in exercise, dieting, meds, and moods/feelings (from the aforementioned) have all occurred at the same time. Lifestyle changes can be difficult, especially when many are done at the same time. I wish you success and welcome to the forums.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes and encouragement.

I just talked to my 22 yr old daughter and she and her partner are going to join me on this weight loss/exercise journey. That is really good for me to have someone to be accountable to, not just myself.

Here we go . .. (walked 25 minutes this morning)

So...How did everyone's long...weekend go? How were your food choices? Get any exercise? Mine started out good, but by yesterday I kind of blew it! Had my Mother-In-Law over for dinner and ate all the wrong foods. (Well-not all were bad choices, I did have some fruit!) It was beautiful here in Wisconsin, so I was able to get my swimming in though. That should have burned some of the calories, huh? Well, now the weekend is gone and I can go back to making good choices.

Welcome to 3FC! I'm glad you're here! Surf around and settle in. We have forums based on age, eating plan, exercise, and more!

Great job on the walk! You can do this!
