Back again and this time I'm all in...
Hi everyone!
I wanted to introduce myself once again.
My name is Cat. I've just turned 25 and I am beginning a PhD program studying biomedical science. I've just moved with my cat to Nashville for school, and this is the first time I've lived on my own without a roommate. Unfortunately at what is an incredibly exciting time in my life it's sobering to admit that I'm the heaviest I've ever been in my life (and I've spent a lot of time on the yo-yo train).
I've been a member of this board since the fall of 2006 and to my shame I've gained nearly forty lbs since I first joined, despite the occasional pop back to the board. At the time I was full of excuses. "I'm graduating/graduated college, I moved back home with my parents, I was depressed, I was too tired to exercise from my job, I was too busy to eat well..." but now I look back and I can honestly say that I wasn't really ready to lose the weight I needed to lose, and I was just making excuses.
Now after a year of self reflection and a better understanding of myself and what I want out of life I am finally ready to get into shape and to lose all the weight that is holding me back.
I'm excited to cook healthily, get regular exercise and get to know everyone here at the board...oh yes and lose a ton of weight!
So hi again and I hope to get to know people here on the board.

it's good that you're back and driven! tennessee is so beautiful, i'm sure there's plenty of places to take nice, relaxing walks
