My name is Angela and I am from Memphis, TN. I have heard a lot about this website from some online buddies and thought I would check it out for myself.
A little bit about me. I am 33 years old and weigh approximately 286 pounds. I was diagnosed with Diabetes, PCOD, Hyperplasia, and now High Blood Pressure. I guess what brings me here is why everyone else is here, for support. I know I have to lose about 100lbs to start and get me in better health then I will take it from there. When my Dr told me that I needed to lose weight or expect more serious health problems I took that to heart.
I know this is going to be a long and difficult road but I believe with persistence and a positive attitude I can do it. I know every day is not going to be easy and I'm not going to be super gung-ho every minute but I told myself I'm not going to quit and that's my plan.
I am always looking to make new friends so if anyone wants a WL Buddy, Im here!
I am just across the river from you in Arkansas. I go to Memphis almost every weekend.
You can do this! I have lost 70 pounds since October, it could have been more-- but I stalled (I got married in May). It is no ones fault but mine. I am back at it.
I love food..... specifically Southern food (I love the SideCar Cafe on Whiten Rd.) and you can still live life and lose weight.
Hello, I hope that you are successful in your journey I also have to lose over 100 lbs and like you I have no goal weight in place yet. My ultimate goal is good health and to be involved in life not watch it pass me by. I am also looking for weight loss buddies, maybe we can keep in touch!
