Hey you guys. My name is Luz and I decided to register for this site today! I am a 21-year-old college student and weigh 185 pounds. My goal is to lose 75 pounds to be in a good BMI range for my body. For the past few weeks I have been hitting the gym HARD, doing at least 1 hour of cardio every time I go. I get frustrated because I always want to see instant results after a hard workout. I enjoy learning about exercise, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles in general. I was reading an exercise book last night and the author encourages people to focus more on the process of getting in shape, not the result. I thought this was so simple yet something that I have overlooked for a long time. I always think about what I'm going to look like when I'm skinny. This kind of thinking is ridiculous because I'm not thinking about today, I'm thinking about 6 months, or even a year from now. One of my goals is to try and focus more on my daily process to get in shape. I'm going to start asking myself: "am I doing what I can, today, to get healthier?"
I definitely want to meet some new friends on here. I need a motivation group so badly! I am so happy this site is out here and can't wait to dive in.
