Default It's new day!

Hello,
I am 40, married with 2 kids, and struggling to get back on track. I can not stop eating! I decided to try something new this time - to get some support from nice and knowledgeable strangers… you guys! Maybe that is what was missing from my plan all these years. I need to loose about 50 pound, but I would be ecstatic to lose 20!! I am looking forward to reading the boards and blogs, and I am planning to post regularly!

Wink New in Town

Hello ladies.

I am 33, been overweight ever 7 years. (so tired of this weight!)
I weigh 190 and I am 5'3. Would like to weigh 135... but anyway, would love to meet some people with similar goals to encourage and MOTIVATE each other. It's so funny, it's so easy to do the numbers on a calculator but in real life it has been so challenging. So I came up with a small thought 5 lbs a month, that seems achievable. In the past I have dieted with no exercise and exercised with no dieting. I am going to do both now and will use weight watchers to help me with the calories, sometimes South Beach, anything to reach the goal!!!

Nice 2 meet U all

Red face Gym

Well I've made a chart to visually hold myself accountable.
Last week I worked out 3 times, twice at the gym, once at home.
Aunt Flo is visiting me and despite the cramps I popped two tylenol and I am off to Taebo class. My goal this week is to work out at least 5 times, and to stop munching out! Need to drink more water.

Hope you had a good day

Question Ouch & Question

Today I am in pain and in need of a rub with some Ben Gay!
There are muscles I must've never used because I am sore.
I will still make it to my dance class tonite. It's fun, latin music, tropical/caribbean and old skool.

Today I need to do better with the eatting. Any tips from
anyone, Do you keep a food journal or use a specefic website?
I am going to write down what I eat today with the Weight Watchers
points system. See if it helps me. Yesterday I had 2 slices of carrot cake.
tsk, tsk, tsk!

I use sparkpeople.com to track my food and exercise.

We do have a WW forum here if you'd like to check it out - http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/weight-watchers-18/

Thumbs up Thanks

Thank you for the website. Wow, I clicked on your links and I am definitely inspired! I always ask how do people loose over 100 lbs? I am finding it to be such a challenge to calculate every calorie from food and keeping track. I have no clue how many calories I consume a day. That will be my project. I have to pull out all the measuring cups/spoons. I guess the more the effort it takes to calculate and measure I will enjoy the food more, instead of just stuffing my face.

Measuring spoons, measuring cups, a food scale.. I find these to be invaluable to me when counting calories

Welcome to the site! You'll drop that 50 in no time! Think of it as losing 10 pounds 5 times.
