Getting back on the wagon
We always say "oh yeah, I should lose some weight" but rarely do we really actually commit to it.
In early 2008, I started an office job and really tried to lose some weight. Well... I tried more then ever before. It didn't amount to much, despite all the limiting calories and using elyptical machine at the gym, I didn't lose any weight in the month and a half I really committed to it.
I did learn a few things. I got off my butt and now work in a job where I stand and run around, managing a cafe for 8 hours. I do pretty well in not eating too many sweets, too. I've been enjoying jogging and, more recently, have been loving biking! Love! I can bike everywhere in my city, there are so many paths!
College starts in a few weeks and i plan on making use of their gym for weight-lifting. I know I'll have a buddy to join me. What's nice about college gyms is that they're very affordable - 35$ a semester.
I've managed to keep smaller portions and a variety of foods - I stop eating when I'm not hungry, and I don't do so much anxiety eating anymore - I haven't held back from those delicious goodies that are so bad for all of us.
My plan:
Excercise with an emphasis on weight-lifted
Calorie counting with varying limits
No end-of-semester energy drinks!
