Default Newbie waving hi

Decided that enough is enough and that I'm fed up of being depressed about my weight and doing nothing about it except moan.

Problem is I haven't decided yet which plan to work with. Low carb or low fat, or any other plan. So my first task is going to be researching various plans and then deciding which is going to be right for me, then sticking to it.

Another reason to be here is very simple, I need encouragement, support and the occasional tough love.

I'm here to learn, gain insight and hopefully in return encourage others and cheer them on.

Hey Nicki. You have found a good place. I hope you are surfing around and making yourself at home. If you really want this, you REALLY can have it. I am glad you are here. Mary

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've had a quick glance around the forums, but as it's midnight here I think I should get some sleep and come back in the morning.

Hi Nicki,
I've come to exactly that, "enough IS enough", perhaps we can be supportive to each other, ay?

I'm new to this forum and in need of encouragement as well.

Give me a write back and we can hopefully help one another out.

And, just curious, where abouts in the UK are you?
I have relatives from one end to the other and I have been there on several occasions. It's absolutely one of my most favorite places to be.

Nicki and Kelli, I'm new too. Maybe we could form a group "enough is enough" and support each other and any others.
Kelli, I lived in Portland for 10 years. Love it there. Still miss it.
Nicki, the DH is from Northern England. A geordie.

Hey Ash, me again!
Sounds like a fine plan to me! And, "enough is enough" sounds quite appropriate

Portland for 10 years, ay? Where are you now then?
I lived in Lake Oswego when I first moved here, but it got too busy, so we moved out into the country surrounded by farmland. My husband refers to it as our oasis!

Hey, is it your husband that's from Northern England?

My Mom is from Northern England as well. Another geordie!!!

Gotta get the hang of the quote thing.

Anyway, we moved to the SE. 3 years ago. Sent me in a tail spin. Don't like change. Eat when I am lonely.

But I am tired of living this way. So how do we start a group?

Where is your mom from. The husband is from Jarrow. Outside of Newcastle.

Your oasis sounds lovely. How far out in the country are you?

Oh, I was thinking that you were out of Oregon entirely. Don't care for SE, ay?

I don't know how to start a group......YET.

I have a tendency to stay on my computer for hours at a time when I find a new forum to play on, so I will research that subject and get back to you. Because if I don't turn off my computer right now, I'll never accomplish what I had hoped to while I have the house to myself.

My Mom is from Sunderland.

I am out near Newberg.

Okay, gotta turn the computer off now. So, hope to see you online tomorrow

Hi Kelli and Ash it's great to know that I'm not alone in thinking 'enough is enough'. Have both or either of you decided yet which eating plan to follow to obtain your goal weight. I'm also wondering whether it would be a good idea for us to join an already established support thread, where we can get help from others, at least in the beginning otherwise it could be 'the blind leading the blind'! On the otherhand it does sound good, 'The Enough is Enough Support Thread'. So I'm thinking of doing both. So when one of us works out how to start up a new group I'm in.

I live in the county of Leicestershire which is in the East Midlands, though I was born in Yorkshire. I have relatives over in the States, my great uncle Jack emigrated over in the late 19th centuary. The majority live in Houston Texas, or surrounding area.

Hey Nicki,
I'm with you I want the benefit of some support from experienced and successful chickies. Tho I don't want to get lost in the mix. So both sounds good.

I am doing the fat smash diet (done a bit of it before) and hope that it will be the one I can work forever. But willing to go to a lower carb version if I stall out for too long. Right now I am doing things in stages. I am in detox week (9 days actually) and I am being my usual couch potato self. Will add excercise later. Can't change too much at one time or I bail.

Looking forward to connecting with you.

Morning Ash It's another day to get into the healthy lifestyle club!!!

I had a dreadful night and a worse sleep. But, alas, that seems to be the norm for me lately.

While I'm here, which won't be too long today, I will check into setting up our "enough is enough" group.

KELLI

HEY.......WOULD YOU PRIVATE MESSAGE ME TODAY INSTEAD OF THROUGH TOPICS POSTED.
