  • Hi everybody!

I am new to the board but have been a lurker for the past few weeks. Like everyone else, I am on my journey for self improvement, better health, and let me just be truthful for a sec--actual weight loss. A 100lb weight loss hopefully over a 2 year span. At the very least I will be improving my life by being more active and making better eating choices.

For anybody that is looking for an accountability partner for exercising let me know. I will have to check out all the challenges. I am using the following workout dvds: Walk Away the Pounds, Hip Hop Abs, Core Rhythms, Masala Bhanghra, and a hint of a ballet/pilates workout. (Why so many you ask--I need variety and get bored quite easily.)

I workout every day and use Walk Away the Pounds as the meat of my program. I walk 5 miles daily, I do this if nothing else. I just got Hip Hop Abs yesterday and will follow their guide for suggested usage. All the other workouts are mere seasonings.

Well enough about me, good luck to everyone and see you all in the forums.
  • Welcome!
  • Welcome to the community! Definitely check out the challenges, there is a lot of support and encouragement over that way as well as ALL over this site.
  • Thanks SunshineCA and Delphi.
  • You're welcome!
  • Welcome! I am new too
  • hello! I'm new too. Welcome, and get readyyyyyyy!! you're going to do awesomely.
  • Hey Danni, welcome to you to. Hi Bluebird, thanks for the welcome (welcome to you too) and words of encouragement. I think we're all going to rock on this!
  • Hey Harlow,

Wow you must get bored quickly with all those different workouts! You're certainly on the right track for your serious weight loss anyway, so keep going and good luck!
  • I'm New Too
I'M NEW AS WELL CAN'T WAIT TO FOLLOW EVERY ONES JOURNEY ALONG WITH MY OWN
  • I love Hip Hop Abs, another of my other favorites is Turbo Jam I'm new to glad y'all are here too.

  • I love WATP - it is a GREAT exercise program!
  • Hi Sarah. I do get a little bored but another reason for the variety is I heard a trainer mention something about it being a good idea to vary your workouts. It tends to decrease injuries (body is always doing different ranges of motion) and keeps (hopefully) you from plateauing. I am trying to not have so many aches and pains (my lower back, my knees, my sides--oh my!) LOL! Also thanks for the words of encouragement and good luck to you too.

Hello jellybellyjen! I think I saw your post on the WATP thread. I look forward to seeing you there. Good luck and you will do awesome! Every little step is better than doing nothing and with each step you are that much closer to a healthier you.

Hi vwade! I also have Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs. How are you liking both of them and how often are you using them? I decided to try Hip Hop Abs for 4 weeks (starting this Monday,) following the suggested plan. I am giving this one the good old college try. When I complete my little trek I may try to try to do it longer. If so let me know if you are up for a HHA challenge for a month. I haven't really seen any challenges for it or I may not be looking hard enough. Good luck girl and keep it rockin'!

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate the welcome CountingDown!. Congratulations on your weight loss. Activity wise was it all walk away the pounds? If so how did you use the program, how often did you do it etc? Also, how long did it take?
  • Sounds like we'd be a well matched weight loss pair. I also want to lose 100 lbs, and also do the leslie sansone walk dvds.
  • Hi Linzluv,

I think we are pretty evenly matched too. Walk Away the Pounds is easily one of the best and least painful workouts I have ever done. I'm interested to see how your journey comes along so keep me posted. I hope to see you posting on the WATP challenge. Happy walking!
