Question New Member using calorie counter

Hi,

I have been dieting a long time. But this year I would like to reach my goal.
I had some health issues in November, that made me realize it's time to improve my health. I have lost about 48 lbs so far using calorie counting.
But decided I would do better if I start getting more support if I join the support forum. I have alot of stress in my life and usually turn to food!
So would like some advice on ways to deal with it.

VickieLou

Hi and welcome!

There are lots of very successful calorie counters here at 3FC. Have you found the calorie counter threads?

Welcome VickieLou and congratulations on what you've accomplished so far! I'm new here too but from everything I've seen this is a great place for support, encouragement and advice.

I'm still learning about all the different forums and how to follow threads so I can't offer mucha advice there. Just jump in and look around!

As for weight loss advice. I just began my journey around the first of April. I've struggled with weight off and on my whole life. Been on diets and then gain it back eventually. I had terrible eating habits. I've come to realize it really does have to be a lifestyle change for good. I'm not on a diet anymore...I just choose to make better choices. I've lost about 10 pounds so far by just sort of keeping track of my calories. By eating healthy or low cal snacks between meals seems to keep my cravings down and help me stay on track. I've also started trying to incorporate exercise over the last few weeks and that has helped alot as well.

Just find what works for you. There is a lot of good information on this site. Keep up the good work you have already begun! I can't wait until I can say I've lost as much as you!!

Thank You all for your encouragement and advice. Looking forward to the weight loss journey with you all. I haven't posted yet on calorie counters, just 100 lb weight loss club, and here.
