I'm new from VA - Could use a support buddy - 3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community

I'm 54 years old and feel like a dog chasing her tail. I run in circles...losing 10 lbs...........gaining back 12...........losing 8 lbs..........then gaining back 5.................you get the idea. It's so discouraging and I have about 30 lbs to lose in order to be "healthy"...(I'm trying to use THAT angle now!) and I have an awesome husband, three precious kids,(a 13 year old and a 17 year old still at home) and I want to be around for a long time. I'm able to accomplish other things in my life, so why does this weight thing seem to have such a "hold" on me? I ordered the Body Bugg in hopes that THAT would help me,(hasn't arrived as yet), but I feel as if I'm running in circles. I ask myself ,"Why is THIS time going to be different? Why am I going to be able to stick with healthy eating THIS time?" I'm not the whiney type, but I sure could use a support partner to help me to achieve my goal AND that I can offer help, support , and encouragement to, as well!

Hey Cat!

This is a great spot. We have a BodyBugg thread going, as well as our Calorie Counters forum. We also have a 50+ support group, so you may want to head over there.

Otherwise, look around - there are tons of groups, challenges, etc that you can jump into.

Can't wait to get to know you better!

Glad you are here. I am another Virginian and I am 56, so look a there, two things in common already. I am also over weight, so you could call us sisters. You are in the right place, everyone here at 3fatchicks are seeking some type of help, support, encouragement, or buddie that can identify with them. We are all here to help. Also, there is a forum for Christian Encouragement and they have also been a blessing to me. All of these forums are encouraging, so check them out and find a home, bounce around, whatever suits your needs. We are here for you.
