Hello from Europe - 3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community

Hello everybody!

A dear friend of mine (thanks Flower!) referred me to this forum and looking through it I see why she was excited about it. You guys seem like one supportive bunch! … And here we come to the core of the problem! I realised I really need support if I am ever to do this (the weight loss thing).

Let me start with a little bit of history… It is hard to convert everything to inches and lbs but I will try anyway…

I am about 5’8 tall and in my early 20ies weighed at 128lb… in my mid 20 I was already about 155lb till I reached the peek of my weight in the summer of 2007 –198lb. This was just before I turned 30 so I thought that was no way to enter the middle age! By the end of 2007 I had already lost about 25 lb and in the course of the next year another 15lb or so. When I got to about 156 lb I hit the plateau! The lack of loss no matter how hard I tried completely destroyed my motivation. The fact that my weight loss support group (forum) got very quiet didn’t help either. So here I am back at 168lb, far away from my goal (145lb) and without motivation and support! That’s when my friend suggested me giving this forum a shot…

Thing is, hubby and I are moving countries at the end of the year, I will be looking for a new job, and many new things will be coming our way in general.. I really want a true fresh start, one without all the excess weight! I am putting a lot of hopes into this forum to help me find that strength again and manage to get rid of the remainder of my over-weight.
