Hello,
My name is Alexis, and clearly I am new here. I have been overweight for most of my life, but today I watched a video of myself and something inside me just clicked, and I decided that I would actually do something about it, and not just pretend like I am fine with the way that I look, cause I am totally not. My family tells me that I am a beautiful girl...but really what help is that when you are overweight? I am just hoping that I can find support here, and that I can turn here instead of turning to the fridge.
I think that women can be beautiful regardless of the number on the scale, but that we do have to take care of ourselves and treat ourselves well. That comes down to eating better & doing forms of activity.
I'm so glad you joined. Do you have a food plan or an exercise plan? Maybe we can help point you in the right direction.
Post wherever you're comfortable. Best of success!
I'm a WW member, too! (Been going to meetings since April 2007) So I know it's possible to work the plan and truly build good habits from it.
There's even a WW section (under Diet Central) with recipes and tips and all sorts of good advice from other WW members. Check it out when you get the chance!
You are beautiful Alexis! And I am new here too. But I know what you mean, my family and friends always say I am pretty too, but it's how you feel about yourself that means the most.
You can always turn here, I do! I am on this site everyday
