Well I am back and am ready to get serious, the holidays are over so I cannot use that as an excuse anymore!
A little about myself, I am a 37 year old female from Ontario Canada. I follow counting calories as that seems to work for me.
I made a promise to myself in December that I need to stick with this and wanted to set some sort of goal for my birthday at the end of July.
I know I can do this and just would love to make some support friends in the process as I find having someone to talk to who understands my struggles just helps me keep going and positive.
I would love to have some diet buddies, to email or join a group or maybe start a support group.
I am very serious about this and will stick by my buddies, I will do my best to offer support and a ear to listen and any advice I can offer.
Thank you for reading my post and hope to make some great friends out of this!
You'll find many support groups around here Some based on age, or how much to lose, some based on which program they're following, or on common interests.
Take your time, look around & post wherever you're comfortable!
I just joined and your call out for "buddies" jumped out to me. I danced around my weight issue all last year and realize I need to get serious about getting it moving in the downward direction. So I am, as well, looking for buddies to keep me motivated.
Thank you Kelleigh, Faerie, and Coffee Luver for your warm welcomes!
Jana, hello to you also! I read your post and welcome to the site! I stepped on the scales this morning also to a big surprise! At the end of March I was down to 208, as of this morning, 240....yeah not so good! Since I did get down to 208 to begin with, I know I can do it again! Maybe we can help support each other through this journey!
I notice that you had already lost some weight before posting this topic, congrats! Your starting weight and mine are pretty close, although I haven't really lost anything significant yet. Anyway, I need to meet lots of encouraging friends, too, so I'll leave you with a dancing carrot and wish you luck!
Rosie, thanks for the congrats, though I am not too happy with myself as I was down to 208 this past March, as you can see right now I am not near that as of today......bleh
Just take it day by day, it doesn't matter how much you have lost so far, its that you are taking the steps to change your life!
