In need of some serious buddies!

Hello everyone,

Well I am back and am ready to get serious, the holidays are over so I cannot use that as an excuse anymore! :nono:

A little about myself, I am a 37 year old female from Ontario Canada. I follow counting calories as that seems to work for me.

I made a promise to myself in December that I need to stick with this and wanted to set some sort of goal for my birthday at the end of July.

I know I can do this and just would love to make some support friends in the process as I find having someone to talk to who understands my struggles just helps me keep going and positive.

I would love to have some diet buddies, to email or join a group or maybe start a support group.

I am very serious about this and will stick by my buddies, I will do my best to offer support and a ear to listen and any advice I can offer.

Thank you for reading my post and hope to make some great friends out of this!

Stacey :^:

:welcome2: Stacey!

We have a Calorie Counters forum and a 30-Somethings as well as many others. Take a look around and post where you feel like it.

Hi Stacey,

You'll find many support groups around here :) Some based on age, or how much to lose, some based on which program they're following, or on common interests.

Take your time, look around & post wherever you're comfortable!

Best of success!

Stacey,

I just joined and your call out for "buddies" jumped out to me. I danced around my weight issue all last year and realize I need to get serious about getting it moving in the downward direction. So I am, as well, looking for buddies to keep me motivated.

Hi Melissa!

:wel3fc:

Make sure to post wherever you're comfortable :)

I'll be a buddy!

Stacey,

I've been dancing around the weight issue for years. I'm a first-timer to 3fc and am hoping that somehow I become motivated.
Glad to meet you,
Jana:dizzy:

You can do it, Stacey!!!

Thank you Kelleigh, Faerie, and Coffee Luver for your warm welcomes! :)

Jana, hello to you also! I read your post and welcome to the site! I stepped on the scales this morning also to a big surprise! At the end of March I was down to 208, as of this morning, 240....yeah not so good! Since I did get down to 208 to begin with, I know I can do it again! Maybe we can help support each other through this journey! :D

We're the same weight, the same age, and use the same method. Twins! :)

Eiluj *LOL* I think its fate! Its a sign of good things to come for us! :)

Nice to meet you!

I notice that you had already lost some weight before posting this topic, congrats! Your starting weight and mine are pretty close, although I haven't really lost anything significant yet. Anyway, I need to meet lots of encouraging friends, too, so I'll leave you with a dancing carrot and wish you luck!

Hi! Me too, in need of some serious buddies. :(

I feel I am ready for a change, but I know I cannot do it alone.

iluvfall 01-05-2009 07:44 AM

Rosie, thanks for the congrats, though I am not too happy with myself as I was down to 208 this past March, as you can see right now I am not near that as of today......bleh :(
Just take it day by day, it doesn't matter how much you have lost so far, its that you are taking the steps to change your life! :)

Well everyone, looks like we have quite a few new people that are looking for support and encouragement. So should we start a support group?
