I'm Back!
After more setbacks than I can count, I had a tremendous success last year - mostly thanks to this board and the amazing support that comes with it.
In fact, last year came with several successes. After years of unsuccessful attempts at conceiving a second child and endless months of fertility treatments, we achieved success there last November, also. I had intended to stay healthy (both in diet and exercise) throughout my pregnancy, but things didn't work out as planned. I had complications throughout and ended up on hospital bed rest, ultimately delivering three weeks early (on 7/19) - but to a baby who is under the impression that she was born much earlier. So I have spent the past (almost) four weeks going from Antepartum to L&D to the NICU. The good news is that she is a gorgeous little girl who just needs some time to catch up in terms of eating without choking and gaining weight. But we're working on it!
Now that I've summed that up for you, I'm back! I'm actually nearly back at my ticker weight... I have been hovering around 175-176 pounds. I had gone up to 197 pounds right before delivery, but a good bit of that was fluid retention thanks to my blood pressure being completely out of control.
I won't be working out anytime soon, as I'm still recovering from my C-Section and other complications, but I am starting to get back into healthy habits! As expected, even with reaching my ticker weight, I'm still not at my goal weight - and my body has definitely made adjustments for our second princess. But hopefully coming back here will help me get back on track! I'm not really concentrating on numbers right now, just trying to get back into good habits and hopefully I'll fit into my clothes sometime in the near future!
It's nice to be back and see so many new faces. Trust me, if I can do it - so can you!
